Exciting New Beers Arriving This Week!

Welcome Back Fellow Beer Enthusiasts! We have a star-studded lineup of new beers arriving this week that we cannot wait to tell you about!

PRAIRIE ARTISAN ALES: "DECONSTRUCTED BOMB!"
Prairie Artisan Ales exploded into the Chicago market a few years ago with their flagship "Bomb!,"an imperial stout aged on coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and ancho chili peppers. Prairie has called on its expert technicians to take their bomb apart and separate it into its individual elements. Enter: Prairie "Deconstructed Bomb," a variety 4-pack of imperial stouts, featuring all of the elements found in Bomb!: an imperial coffee stout, a chili pepper stout, cacao nib stout and vanilla stout. This explosive creation will hit our shelves this week, for a very limited time only.



MARZ COMMUNITY BREWING: "THE YUICE"
The boys of Bridgeport are back at it this week with their latest Hazy concoction. "Yuice" is a double dry-hopped New England Style IPA that features Mozaic Cryopowder, which lends to a super hazy pour and mouthfeel. Based on Marz's past few iterations of hazy IPAs, this brew is a can't-miss for any NE Style fan (there are a lot of you out there, which is cool, because I'm a fan too!). Look for this bad boy on our shelves this week!


Illuminated Brew Works: "Astronaut Eye Scream"

Illuminated told me to warn you guys to drink this beer exclusively with people you trust. Now that we got that out of the way, I'd also like to tell you about their latest beer: "Astronaut Eye Scream," which is a sugary spin on the brewery's flagship "Astronaut Orange Juice," In a nutshell, the brewery took its Astronaut OJ and added Milk Sugar to it in creating this hoppy and hazy beer. Look for it on our shelves this Friday!

DOGFISH HEAD: "120 MINUTE IPA"
Proclaimed as the "Holy Grail For Hopheads" by the brewery itself, Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA is hitting our shelves once again! This unfiltered, uber-hopped beer is only available a few times a year, which is probably a good thing, since it ranges between 15-20% ABV. Look for 120 on our shelves this week!

HAILSTORM BREWING: "BOAT SOCKS"
Continuing the trend of Hazy IPAs, Hailstorm Brewing of Tinley Park is set to release its latest iteration: "Boat Socks," this week. This double dry-hopped, hazy double IPA was brewed in tandem with Transient Artisan Ales. The brewery had an on-site release last weekend and has a small quantity of cases left over. Our amazing staff was able to secure a few for our store, so look for it on our shelves later this week!

DOGFISH HEAD: "DRAGONS & YUM YUMs (Collab w/ The Flaming Lips)
Dogfish Head and The Flaming Lips teamed up to brew this fruity pale ale, along with an album inspired by the beer itself. First, the beer itself is a pale ale brewed with a combination of dragonfruit, yumberry, passionfruit, pear juice and black carrot juice. The rock icons built off of the creativity of this beer to write two new tracks: The Story of Yum Yum and Dragon, and Pouring Beer in Your Ear. Look for this harmonious beer on our shelves this week!

ODDSIDE ALES: "TANGY DANK JUICE"
The latest member of the "Dank Juice" Series, "Tangy Dank Juice" is a slightly different from its predecessors. Specifically, Tangy Dank Juice starts out like the other beers in the Dank series, as a "juicy" IPA. What makes this brew different is the fact that it is subsequently blended with an oak-aged sour beer. This combination results in a pretty unique hazy and tart taste profile.

This article, in which I rank the beers that we currently have in stock, is the start of something new that I thought of while speaking to some of my co-workers as we brainstormed new methods of speaking craft beer. How It Works: In "Craft Beer Power Rankings," we highlight our expansive collection of craft beers by first grouping our beers into categories based on style of beer (IPA, Stout, Sour, etc.) We then rank the top 10 beers that we currently have in stock in each group. We rank the beers by distilling several important pieces of information relating to each beer into one aggregate score. We calculate the scores of each beer based on a number of factors, including each beer's Untappd score, Rate Beer  score, and overall reputation of the brewery that brewed each beer. New Beers Arriving This Week!!

Welcome back everyone. It's been a little while since my last post, and I apologize for the delay. Besides our obvious name change, I have also been pre-occupied with several large projects related to Joe's Beverage Warehouse, including some exciting new collaborations on the horizon (shhhh...it's still a secret). In any event, I am back and better than ever, sitting in front of my cheap laptop to tell you about some new beers that will be hitting our shelves this week! Cigar City: "White Oak Jai Alai" A few months back, Cigar City Brewing of Tampa, FL made our hearts flutter when they began distributing in Chicagoland. Now that the brewery has installed its mainstay lineup into our repertoire, it's time to spice things up a bit. Enter: "White Oak Jai Alai." This sophisticated spin on the brewery's flagship IPA involves an addition of white oak spirals into its brewing process, which leads to a finished product that has unmistakable hints

From Reality TV Show Contestants to Craft Beer Pioneers

In all walks of life, there are those who walk in the footsteps of giants, and there are others who choose to blaze their own trails. This holds true in the craft beer industry, where there are now over 6,000 breweries in the U.S. alone. Under these circumstances, many breweries continue to falter as they churn out the same old tired IPAs and lagers. One brewery, however, has gone out on a limb and is now changing the game and spreading its wings at Cardinal Liquor Depot Joliet. MobCraft Presenting Their Business on Reality TV hit show "Shark Tank" Changing The Game :  As I was flipping through channels one boring night, I decided to check out "Shark Tank," a reality show where business owners present their plans and goals to a group of successful wealthy business moguls in hopes of receiving their blessing in the form of an investment in their companies.
