Weighing in at 8% ABV and Galaxy-Hopped from Decorah, Iowa, Toppling Goliath's latest brew promises a velvety-smooth flavor profile that maintains the "bite" that is expected in a double IPA without tasting like licking a pine tree. Look for this bomber on our shelves all week long.

Epic "Brainless On Peaches" Oak Barrel-Aged Sour

Release #3 of the Denver-based brewery's "Cellar Reserve" Series, this peachy baby is fermented with brett wild yeast and spends time in oak barrels. The peach puree component in this beer beautifully balances its subtle tart punch. We are stoked to have received this limited release, which is perfect for the dog days of summer, and ages well.

Middle Brow: "Art Brut" Brut IPA

Arguably Chicago's most under-the-radar brewery, Middle Brow is turning heads this week with its latest release. Art Brut is an approachable session IPA brewed with Falconer's Flight and Azacca Hops, which results in a tropical and piney aroma that accompanies this medium-bodied brew's soft mouthfeel.

Dogfish Head: "Fruit-Full Fort" Berry Ale

A twist on the brewery's "Fort" beer, Fruit-Full Fort is brewed with four types of berries … raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries and elderberries. This blend of dark berries creates a depth and complexity reminiscent of a jammy red wine. Dogfish Head punched up the malt bill with Munich malt in this new version of Fort to provide a firm backbone and help balance the tart flavor of the brew’s berry blend. Clocking in at 15%-18% ABV, Fruit-Full Fort is dark maroon red in color with aromas of velvety cherry and berry sweetness, and flavors of raspberry and blackberry. Available Now! For a limited time.

4 Hands + Marz: "Rubus Flux" Boysenberry IPA

From the makers of Passion Fruit Prussia and Bubbly Kriek comes "Rubus Flux," a Boysenberry hybridization of IPA and brett wilderness. This beer will throw your taste buds a curve ball, as it boasts a fruity and full-bodied texture and aroma, while kicking your tongue with a hint of tartness/funk on the back end, due to its wild yeast strains.

Evil Twin: "Big Ass Money" Imperial Stout

Disclaimer: This beer is illegal in a handful of states due to its insanely high ABV (17.2%, to be exact.) The crew at Evil Twin Brewing has teamed up with Lervig of Norway to brew a completely diabolical beer that will completely knock you on your keester. "Big Ass Money" packs a serious punch and hits our shelves this weekend as a very limited item.

Central State Brewing "Phase Shift" Dry-Hopped Sour Pale Ale

In the quiet metropolis of Indianapolis lies a small, but mightily-growing brewery named "Central State." This Hoosier state brewery has made its hay primarily through its main lineup of sours, headlined by "Garden" gose and "Table" brett-fermented blonde. Piggybacking off of their staples, Central State recently brewed "Phase Shift" a sour farmhouse-IPA. This blend of sour/wild taste and aroma with the hoppiness of its IPA component results in a special flavor profile that has not gone quite mainstream....yet. Look for Phase Shift on our shelves this weekend!

LATER THIS MONTH:

Foreign Objects Brewing Hitting Our Shelves!

Foreign Objects Brewing of NewYork has been tearing up the craft beer game on the Northeast Coast for a while now. Later this month, we will have the honor of being one of the first stores in Illinois to carry their beers. Known for their world-class hazy IPAs that stack up with those of other NE breweries such as Trillium and Tree House, Foreign Objects's arrival will be a sight to behold.

Prairie Artisan Ales: "Color Block" Hazy IPA and "Pink Guava Funk" Kettle Sour

For the past year or so, the "Haze Craze" has spread like wildfire throughout America, as beer drinkers have sought lactose sugar-flaunting, yeast-flocculating goodness in their IPAs. In response to this trend, hundreds of breweries across the country, including well-established ones, such as Prairie Artisan Ales of Oklahoma,  have brewed such IPAs in order to feed the beast. Later this week, the brewery will release "Color Block" a hazy IPA with vanilla and orange zest. The combination of ingredients in this haze bomb will lead to a "Dreamsicle" flavor profile that will be more satisfying than flagging down an ice cream truck as a child on a hot summer day.

Conversely, Prairie is also set to release "Pink Guava Funk," a sour ale brewed with pink guava and brett, this month. The combination of tropical guava and tart brett yeast will result in a refreshing and tangy brew that is exactly what summer is all about.
