New Releases!!

Welcome back my fellow beer geeks! (No we do NOT have a drinking problem, we are merely "beverage enthusiasts.") We have all sorts of cool brews coming soon and we are excited to give you some inside info!

Half Acre Plane Wave
This IPA is a doozy, using 30% more hops than your average IPA (not quite hopslam, which might be a good thing depending on who you ask.) Half Acre uses exclusively first-generation yeast in making this beer, which makes it incredibly fresh. While this beer uses no fruit ingredients, it is very fruit-forward on the palate. Look for Plane Wave on our shelves on Friday, January 19th.

Marz Level Eater 8.88
For what it's worth, our staff unanimously-agrees that Marz is the most innovative brewery we currently stock. Taking a break from their recent hazy IPA kick (see: Holihaze, Tart n' Tangy), Marz is now diving into barrels. Their most recent release, "Level Eater 8.88," is a barleywine blended with a belgian quadruple ale. The beer is barrel-aged in 30-year-old scotch barrels for over a year. Look for this beast on our shelves starting January 19th.

Toppling Goliath Mozee IPA
Toppling Goliath has produced hit after hit since they opened distribution to Chicago last Spring. Our store has sold through tons of pseudo sue, king sue, and all sorts of other sues. Now, TG is set to release "Mozee," an IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops. This beer appears to stack up with other "hazy" IPAs, which are all-of-the-rage at the moment. Mozee on over this Friday January 19th to get your hands on this juicy brew.

4 Hands Cash Mony Imperial IPA
Continuing our theme of thick-as-hell IPAs, 4 Hands is set to release its "Cash Mony" Imperial/Double IPA. This hop bomb weighs in at a robust 8.5% abv and will be in store January 19th.

Odd Side Ales Falcon Punch
The moniker, "A Super Smash IPA" suits this Double IPA perfectly. This six pack packs a punch that might require bringing a friend along for imbibing support. Look for it on our shelves this Friday 1/19.

Illuminated Brewing Zoinks! 
This beer is a true unicorn. Is it an IPA? Is it a sour? Roinks, Raggy, we may never know! 
Zoinks is officially a Sour Double Dry Hopped IPA with Strawberries and Raspberries. (Blah, blah, blah, it's really freaking tasty!)

Welcome Back! This article, in which I rank the beers that we currently have in stock, is the start of something new that I thought of while speaking to some of my co-workers as we brainstormed new methods of speaking craft beer. How It Works: In "Craft Beer Power Rankings," we highlight our expansive collection of craft beers by first grouping our beers into categories based on style of beer (IPA, Stout, Sour, etc.) We then rank the top 10 beers that we currently have in stock in each group. We rank the beers by distilling several important pieces of information relating to each beer into one aggregate score. We calculate the scores of each beer based on a number of factors, including each beer's Untappd score, Rate Beer  score, and overall reputation of the brewery that brewed each beer. New Beers Arriving This Week!!

Welcome back everyone. It's been a little while since my last post, and I apologize for the delay. Besides our obvious name change, I have also been pre-occupied with several large projects related to Joe's Beverage Warehouse, including some exciting new collaborations on the horizon (shhhh...it's still a secret). Cigar City: "White Oak Jai Alai" A few months back, Cigar City Brewing of Tampa, FL made our hearts flutter when they began distributing in Chicagoland. Now that the brewery has installed its mainstay lineup into our repertoire, it's time to spice things up a bit. Enter: "White Oak Jai Alai." This sophisticated spin on the brewery's flagship IPA involves an addition of white oak spirals into its brewing process, which leads to a finished product that has unmistakable hints

From Reality TV Show Contestants to Craft Beer Pioneers

In all walks of life, there are those who walk in the footsteps of giants, and there are others who choose to blaze their own trails. This holds true in the craft beer industry, where there are now over 6,000 breweries in the U.S. alone. Under these circumstances, many breweries continue to falter as they churn out the same old tired IPAs and lagers. One brewery, however, has gone out on a limb and is now changing the game and spreading its wings at Cardinal Liquor Depot Joliet. MobCraft Presenting Their Business on Reality TV hit show "Shark Tank" Changing The Game :  As I was flipping through channels one boring night, I decided to check out "Shark Tank," a reality show where business owners present their plans and goals to a group of successful wealthy business moguls in hopes of receiving their blessing in the form of an investment in their companies.
